Self contained rooms with 2 shared bathrooms
About Us

We are an Underground Bed & Breakfast offering a warm and welcoming family atmosphere.

With magnificent outback sunrise views and a comfortable temperature all year round, this quaint accommodation caters for all travellers and guests no matter what season you visit. The dugout has rooms to suit the lone traveller or the whole family. All linen is provided during your stay.

Trapper’s boasts magnificent outback panoramic views topped off with a stunning, uninterrupted sunrise. This is one of the first dugouts to be kissed by the first rays of the day. The dugout features an in-house mine where you can tour our historical dugout area where Trapper, the original dugout occupant makes a personal appearance.

This original mining area will give visitors a first-hand experience of just how hard mining and existing on these fields was in the early days.

Our Gift Shop

Incorporated in our business is a small giftshop which we are stocking with Barkindji artworks and products. We have been able to develop business arrangements with several artists and home business producers which cover traditional timber artworks, wood burning, paintings, jewellery & bush soaps & creams. We are continuing to make contact with Barkindji people & producers so we can have more variety within our giftshop.

Our key priorities in buying/selling the goods are:

  • We only deal directly with the artist/producer.
  • The money we pay goes direct to the artist/producer
  • We request a bio about the artist/producer so they get the full credit for the work
  • The artist/producer sets the selling price

Trappers Guests

I had the opportunity to stay a few days here at Trappers a few months ago. It was a delight to spend time looking around inside and out. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and I had a great rest each night. Top spot to have a drink outside, the view is wonderful. I highly recommend this as a rest stop – you won’t want to leave. Make sure you take some extra food when you stay here in case you love the place as much as I did. Big thumbs up for the establishment from me, best holiday in  years!
